Otra cultura, otra mirada...

La pluma poética de E. G. Brady acaba de lanzar al ciberespacio la presente nota sobre el Museo Casa de los Pérez Meza:

"There is an exquisite new museum in the Historical District! The Museo Casa de los Pérez Meza is a charming shrine dedicated to the distinctive musical heritage of Sinaloa. The proprietress is the legendary diva, Elisa Pérez Meza, who recently performed a May 3rd concert at the Angela Peralta Theater in conjunction with the great singer/composer/actor and family friend Ferrusquilla, the last of the Golden Era survivors.

"Elisa Pérez Meza still radiates the confident charm and timeless beauty of a Hollywood star, and beams brightly as she explains the stories behind the displays in the museum. Her father Luis Pérez Meza, “El Trovador del Campo” (the Troubadour of the Fields), was a seminal figure in the development of the musical style that has come to be known as la musica banda, and was the first major recording star to make the Sinaloa sound world famous".
